She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Bill" Jacob and Marie Ethyln Stapf (Hemenway); her former husband Junior Peterson; her daughter Pam Schwebach (Bernie); her husband Jerry Vander Pol; and her sisters, Marlene Postma and Marlys Sachen (Jack).
She is survived by: her children, Robert Peterson (Valerie) of Sheldon, Rebecca Vander Plaats (Nips) of Sheldon and Jason Peterson (Megan) of Lincoln, Nebraska; her stepchildren, Brenda Godbersen (Bryan) of Rock Valley, Janet Rozeboom (Kirk) of Hartley and Brad Vander Pol (Janice) of Sheldon; her brother-in-law Rich Postma of Sheldon; her friend Clarence Dykstra; and her close friend Wilfred "Wow" Kooiker. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 15 step great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Faith Community Church (506 8th St, Sheldon, IA 51201). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the same location. Special friend Wilfred "Wow" Kooiker – they had so much fun spending time together during the Pandemic, they totally supported each other.
