It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marvin Wilbur Westphalen of Sanborn, Iowa, born in Hartley, Iowa, who passed away on July 7, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Marvin Wilbur departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Marvin Wilbur. Though Marvin Wilbur may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Herman and Lorrayne Eunice Westphalen (Trojohn); his wife Pat; and his siblings, Darlene, Kenny and Duane.
He is survived by: his children, Deb Holz (Randy) of Sheldon, Darwin Westphalen (Laura) of Sheldon, Brian Westphalen (Jewel) of Knoxville, Tennessee, Leigh Kenny (Rhett) of Hanford and Dan Westphalen (Joan) of Sioux Falls; and his siblings, Donna Steffen of Emmetsburg and Ricky Westphalen (Joan) of California. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren.
