She was predeceased by: her parents, Katherine Verbrugge and Nick Verbrugge; her stepmother Stella Verbrugge (Noteboom); and her siblings, Jim Verbrugge, Myrna Koldenhoven and Wally Verbrugge.

She is survived by: her husband Andy; her daughters, Vivian Smith (Mark) of Mankato, Minnesota and Valerie Green; and her brother Harvey Verbrugge. She is also survived by four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
