It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ray Nelson (Salix, Iowa), born in Little Sioux, Iowa, who passed away on May 4, 2019, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Art Nelson and Ella Nelson; his siblings, Leon, Byron, Charles, Robert, Doris Rogers and Mary Anne Dvorkin; his parents-in-law, Alcide and Marquerite Lussier; and his siblings-in-law, Brian Dvorkin, Bill Lussier, Elmer Ford, JoAnn Lussier, Doris Nelson and Sheila Ford.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Lussier; his children, Sharla Dicks of Salix, Jeff Nelson (Peggy) of Salix, Nancy Nelson (Bruce Full) of Sergeant Bluff, Penny Jensen (Dave) of Sioux City, Betty Gilbert (Ben) of Salix, Vicky Doucette (Jay) of New Port Richey, FL and Mike Nelson (Sarah) of Sioux City; his brother Fred Nelson (Ella) of Salix; and his siblings-in-law, Don Rogers of Des Moines, Shirley Menard (David) of Sergeant Bluff and Mary Lynn Nelson of Salix. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
