With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kage Matthew McDonald of Salix, Iowa, born in Sioux City, Iowa, who passed away on September 24, 2021 at the age of 12. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his cousins, Ashelyn McDonald, Jacoby and Silas Keenan; and his great-grandparents, William, Ruth Kniseley, Warren Griffith, Vernon, Delores Benson and Connie Benson.

He is survived by: his parents, Meggan McDonald (Griffith) and Matt McDonald; his siblings, Kaleb McDonald (Ashley Bacani) and Kora McDonald; his grandparents, Mary Kniseley, Steve, Barb Griffith, Darla McDonald, Jean and Dave VanNatta; and his great-grandparents, Bonnie, Jerry McDonald and Betty Griffith. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
