We bid farewell to Carol Ann Box of Salem, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 6, 2025 at the age of 85. Carol Ann touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clem Peterman and Alberta Peterman; her husband Adrian Box (Abie); and her siblings, Jean Fraise, Phyllis Humphrey and Richard Peterman.

She is survived by: her children, Judy Barnes (Layne), Jan Steffensmeier (Mike) and Jodi Sutter (Lamont); her grandchildren, Jesse Barnes (Mary Beth), Janel Fedler (Scott), Andrew Steffensmeier (Kaitlyn), Zach Steffensmeier, Nate Steffensmeier, Lizzy Steffensmeier, Avery Sutter and Aiden Sutter; her great grandchildren, Owen Steffensmeier, Sofia Steffensmeier, Ella Steffensmeier, Layla Barnes and Barrett Fedler; and her siblings, Paul Peterman (Barb) and Karen Wright. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Memorial donations may be made in her memory to her home parish, St. John's Catholic Church in Houghton, or the Legacy Fund at the Klein Center in West Burlington, Iowa.
