He was predeceased by: his father Ralph Walljasper; his wife Kathy Schinstock; his sister Mary Elizabeth; his parents-in-law, Rosanna and Edward Schinstock; and also, Joan, Jerome Kuhlmeier and Larry Schinstock.
He is survived by: his mother Mildred Walljasper (Fritzjunker) of West Point, Iowa; his children, Michelle Walljasper (JD Hoover) of Wever, Iowa and John Walljasper of St. Paul, Iowa; his grandchildren, Suttyn, Paxstyn and Ollyn; his siblings, Wendel Walljasper (Wendy), Arlo Walljasper (Sherry), Sandy Kuhlmeier, Jeanne Vantiger (Alan), Dean Walljasper (Angie) and Jolene Edmonds (Alan); and his siblings-in-law, Sue Schinstock, Dale Schinstock (Terri), Ken Schinstock and Randy Schinstock (Sharon). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial has been established in his memory for St. James Catholic Church or Houghton Knights of Columbus.
