Garrett of Saint Paul, Iowa, born in Waterloo, Iowa, who passed away on October 21, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harris Leland and Lucille Angela Garrett (Hofferd); his sisters, Carol Foster of Albert Lea and Rowena Davidson; his brother-in-law Donald Davidson of Waterloo; and his parents-in-law, Everett and Ruth Johnson of Waterloo.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Johnson; his children, Scott (Elizabeth) of San Diego, California, Lisa Schmulewitz (Michael) of St. Paul, Cathlyn Garrett (Kurt Errickson) of St. Paul, John (Katherine) of Wildomar, Karen Kramer (Craig) of Dyersville, IA, Kristen Wood (Dennis) of Fort Wayne and Jacqueline Garrett (Trent Tischer) of St. Paul; his grandchildren, Leigh Ammeraal (Daniel), Paige Wingate (Erik), Jeremiah Schmulewitz, Naomi Schmulewitz, Claudia Errickson, Arlo Errickson, Emma Garrett, Ellis Garrett, Clare Kramer, Lucas Kramer, Lauren Klar (Noah), Matthew Wood, Daniel Wood (Kiersten), Elizabeth Wood, Corrine Tischer, Alexandra Berkland (Gabe) and Caitlyn Tischer; his great grandchildren, Fè Ammeraal, Kreigh, Delaney and Ruby Wood; his brother James Garrett (Ila Mae) of Waterloo; and his parents-in-law, Charles Foster of Albert Lea, Gary Johnson (DeAnn) of Ft. Myers, David Johnson (Mary) of San Diego, Janet Hadingham (Evan) of Wayland and Joan Reil (Tim). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
