It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sophia Hooks (Saint Marys, Iowa), born in Hempstead, New York, who passed away on June 3, 2020, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Hecox and Bernard Hecox; her husband Leo; her siblings, Bernadette Hecox and Ward Hecox; and her grandson Adam Burch.
She is survived by: her children, Ellen Kraft (Ken) of Bremerton, Greg Hooks (Leah) of Grand Rapids, Susan Whitacre (Jan) of San Diego, Joan Hooks (Kevin Klier) of Jensen Beach and Carol Bachman (Neil) of Muscatine, Iowa. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
