She was predeceased by: her grandfathers, Joe McCasland and Pete Wilgenbusch; and her uncle Joe Wilgenbusch. She is survived by: her parents, Doug McCasland and Amy McCasland (Wilgenbusch); her sister Sydney; her partner Casey Baker; her grandmothers, Connie McCasland and Shirley Wilgenbusch; her aunts, Kasey Van Veen (Steve), Crissy Brooks (Bobby) and Tracy O'Brien (Mike); her uncle Barry McCasland (Nikki); her cousins, Lucas Wilgenbusch (Lauren), Lane Wilgenbusch, Quinten O'Brien, Devon O'Brien (Kelly), Jordan O'Brien, Luke McCasland and Larra McCasland; and also Jeff. She is also survived by many close friends and family.

Shelby's family kindly asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be directed towards the family.
