Janice Gavin Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lambert Brommel and Gladys "Dolly" Brommel; her parents-in-law, Francis and Helen Gavin; her brothers, Eugene and Ronald Brommel; her siblings-in-law, Dale, Joe Gavin, Bud Wattonville, Shirley Brommel, Pam Gavin and Charlotte Brommel; her nephew Steven Brommel; and her nieces, Cindy Gavin and Lori Jordan.

She is survived by: her husband Bob; her children, Lesa Dembinski (Mark), Sarah Mullins (Tod), Michael Gavin, Jane McDowell (Larry) and Patrick Gavin; her grandchildren, Wesley Dembinski (Bradi), Nicole Holst (Jeremy), Dane Mullins, Paige Mullins, Shae Gavin, William McDowell (Taylor), Emily McDowell (Greg Musil), Rebecca McDowell, Lauren McDowell, Mitchell Gavin and Sam Gavin; her great grandchildren, Paxton, Brynlee Holst, Rowan, Brecklynn and Saylor Dembinski; and her brother Tom Brommel (Marilyn).

A rosary was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (101 St James St, St Marys, IA 50241). Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at the Immaculate Conception Church (101 St James St, St Marys, IA 50241).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the St. Marys Fire and Rescue, Pink Tractor Foundation or Immaculate Conception Church.
