He is survived by: his spouse Verona Murphy; his children, Debra Brake (David) of Sidney, IA, Linda White (Gary) of Hamburg, IA and Chuck Mitchell of Pella, IA; his grandchildren, Kim Ashlock-Hamburg (Aaron), Dustin Brake-Sidney (Melody), Don McCown (Rose), Dan Brake-Hamburg (Mindi), Makaella and Braedyn Mitchell of Grinnell, IA; his great grandchildren, Payton, Laynee Ashlock, Dane, Landon Brake, Rozlyn, Rogan McCown, Myah and Drayson Brake; his siblings, Wayne Mitchell, Don Mitchell-Sprague (Maggie), Daryl Mitchell (Carolyn) and Roma Rhodes (Robert); and his sisters-in-law, Fran Mitchell-Hornick (Lyle) and Kathleen Lehr (William). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
