Ernest Thoma Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 18, 2020, at the age of 86, Ernest Thoma (Saint Donatus, Iowa) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Thoma and Frances Thoma (Meisenburg); his wife Alice M. Kerstein; his son Ernest Thoma Jr.; his siblings, William, Arnold, Joseph, Victor, Larry and Marie Barth; and his siblings-in-law, Alfred Barth, Louis Pottebaum, Edwin Klaas, Viola, Phyllis, Edna and Ethel Thoma.
He is survived by: his children, Wanda Thoma, Nancy Merfeld, Karen Thoma, Rebecca Cox (Barry), Ellen Pfohl, John Thoma (Kelly), Earl Thoma (Jacki Schilling) and Scott Thoma (Christine Dobelmann); his siblings, Bernice Pottebaum, Patricia Klaas, Donald Thoma (Bertha), Francis Thoma (Mary) and Richard Thoma; and his sister-in-law Betsy Thoma. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers an Ernest Thoma memorial fund has been established.
