Valerie Ann Sechser Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Valerie Ann Sechser of Saint Charles, Iowa, who passed away on November 8, 2021, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Louise Sandstrom (Northup) of Diagonal, IA.; her sister Roseanne Sandstrom; her grandparents, Gunner, Viola Sandstrom, Byron and Anita Northup; and her uncles, Edwin and John Northup.
She is survived by: her father Albert Sandstrom; her sons, Jake Mahon (Catie), Clinton Mahon (Lisa Culp) and Bernard Mahon (Holly Mestad); her grandsons, Wayne and Deacon Schreck; her husband John Sechser; her stepdaughter Megan Carvajal; her stepgrandmother Lyla DiGiacomo; her siblings, Loren Sandstrom (Theresa) and Michele Poulson; her nieces and nephews, Nic, Tim Sandstrom, Kyra Blecker, Courtney Stanley and Carter Burkart; her parents-in-law, Dana Hawkins and Terry Sechser; and her sister-in-law Apryl Hippen. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society as Valerie courageously battled this disease and had been in remission since May 2021.
