It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Chester Ayers (Saint Charles, Iowa), born in Bagley, Iowa, who passed away on July 18, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, H. Mart Ayers and Thressa Ayers (Wheeler); his wife Shirley Ayers (Nelson); his siblings, John Martin Ayers, Jim Harris, Joe Harris, Mary Lou Carter and Lois Ackelson; his nephew Greg Ayers; his children, Rhonda Minnich (Greg) of Norwalk, Ron Ayers of Coeur, Mike Ayers (Kelly) of Waukee, IA and Jason Ayers (Kandee) of Van Meter, IA; his grandchildren, Spencer Minnich (Sarah) of Peru, IA, Wendy Crabtree (Jason) of Maxwell, IA, Carter, Townsand Ayers of Waukee, IA, Landyn and Laetyn Ayers of Van Meter; his great grandchildren, Eva, Brooks and Sawyer Minnich; and his close friends, Bill Young (Dione), Sandy Peck and Lesley Gesaman (Joel). He was also cherished by other relatives and many friends.
