It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Denton Ramey of Saint Charles, Iowa, born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on March 4, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Edmond Ramey and Freedette Leola Denton Ramey; his sister Carleen Roberts; his brother-in-law Jim Roberts; his brother Richard Ramey; and his sister-in-law Wanda Ramey.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Ramey of St. Charles, IA; his children, Sindy Lou Brown (Tim) of St. Charles, IA and Matt Denton Ramey (Stacie) of Lucas, IA.; his grandchildren, Melinda Zimmerman (Dale) of Whittemore, IA, Sarah Hansen (Darren) of St. Charles, IA, Tyler Ramey (Shital) of Grain Valley, MO, T. J. Hiracheta (Emily) of Lucas, IA and Maysa Parish (Bryce) of Lucas, IA; and his great grandchildren, Owen Zimmerman, Olivia Zimmerman, Benjamin Zimmerman, Addison Hansen, Alana Hansen and Annabelle Hiracheta. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kale Funeral Home - Osceola (301 S Main St, Osceola, IA 50213). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Charles Parish (305 W Main St, St Charles, IA 50240).
