He was predeceased by: his parents, LaVerne Nelson and Grace Nelson; and his grandparents, Ralph, Edith Duncomb, Ernest and Laura Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Karen; his sons, Joshua Nelson (Sarah) and Lucas Nelson (Deneen); his stepchildren, Brad Gerk (Sara), Betsy Bushlack (Josiah) and Kayla Redfern (Chris); and his brothers, Russell Nelson (Kari) and Alan Nelson (Sheryl). He is also survived by his eleven grandchildren.
