She was predeceased by: her parents, Ballard Smith and Frankie Smith (Tolson); and her sister Charlene Smith. She is survived by: her former husband Kenneth Scott Simpson; her husband Ken Simpson of Sac City, IA; her children, Tim Simpson (Melanie) of Bakersfield, CA and Reena Hansen (Evan) of Schaller, IA; her grandchildren, Raelynn and Bentley Hansen; and her siblings, Ballard Jr. Smith (Judy) of Lake View, IA, Brandon Smith of Arthur, IA, Susan Page (Monroe) of Big Rock, TN, Kim Menke (Joe) of Battle Creek, IA and Paula Smith of Arthur, IA. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
