It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merle Dumdei (Sac City, Iowa), who passed away on March 9, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Dumdei and Thelma Dumdei (Shaw); his son Roger; his wife Beverly Dumdei; his son Daniel Dumdei; his granddaughter Marjorie O'Neill; and his siblings, Mervin, Wesley Dumdei and Arvis Taylor.
He is survived by: his children, Diana (Arthur Rowe) of Bettendorf, IA, Don (Sue) of Waukee, IA and Sharon of Ames, IA; his siblings-in-law, Janet Dumdei of Manilla, IA, Vera Talcott of Omaha, NE and Wendell Argotsinger of Denison, IA; his grandchildren, Jennifer O'Neill, Kerry Goldsberry (Brandon), Aaron Shay (Christina), Christopher Dumdei (Lisa), Nathan Dumdei, Sarah West (Chad), Katie Gunn (Jayson) and Ryan Lenihan; and his great grandchildren, Maddox, Clara Goldsberry, Quinlan Shay, Tyler, Ashlynn Dumdei, Addyson, Aiden, Avery Gunn, Katherine and Samantha West. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
