He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Taber and Elnora Taber (Brandt); his wife Joyce Taber; his sister Lynn Rae Taber; and his parents-in-law, Harold Borton, Henry and Lydia Meyer.

He is survived by: his sons, Tad Taber (Debbie) of McKinney, TX and Bret Taber (Lisa) of Johnston, IA; his grandchildren, Jeff Kriesel (Stephanie), Alex Kriesel, Morgan Taber and Atlee Taber; his brother Paul Taber (Shirley) of Conway, AR; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Carlton (Darwin) of Raymore, MO and Dale Meyer (Freda) of Schaller, IA.
