He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Rubendall and Betty Rubendall (Finley); his brothers, Loren, Lonnie and Vernon Rubendall; and his parents-in-law, Ed and Irene Stoffer.

He is survived by: his wife Roxy Rubendall of Sac City, IA; his sons, Bryan Rubendall (Krista) of Somerset, WI and Curtis Rubendall (Jennifer) of Long Grove, IA; his stepdaughters, Shelly Simm (Chad) of Paulina, IA and Angie Fischer of Sac City, IA; his grandchildren, Connor, Julia Engebretson, Ava Rubendall, Joshua Simm, Jordan Flickinger (Charlie), Riley Fischer and Carly Fischer; his siblings, Todd Rubendall (Vickie) of Sac City, IA, Linda Passow (Joe) of Duncombe, IA, Loreli Anderson (Jim) of Fulshear, TX, Loretta Mallett of Cape Canaveral, FL and Tricia Olsson of Rockledge, FL; his brother-in-law Doug Stoffer (Shirley) of Belmond, IA; and his niece Kari Pottinger. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
