He is survived by: his parents, Doug Simpson and Peg Simpson of Sac City, IA; his wife Brenda Catalan; his former wife Brenda Simpson of Buckeye, AZ; his siblings, Bob Simpson (Angie) of New London, MN, Tina Zimmerman (Mike) of Sac City, IA and Mandy Hedberg (Kevin) of Sac City, IA; his brother-in-law Alvin Catalan (Mirrol); his nieces and nephews, Jakob, Layla, Evie, Bella Simpson, Jamie Meister (Jared), Ryan Zimmerman, Logan, Braden, Makenna Hedberg, Myra and Almira Catalan; his parents-in-law, Benjamin and Alicia Catalan; and his aunts and uncles, Sandra Heath, Carol Gregg, Kay Streeter (Gary), Judy Van (Darrell) of Kral, Bette Lohff (Brian), Kathy Winchester (Robert), Kris Crabb (Mark), Rita Neuhring, Leonard Simpson (Diane) and Ken Simpson (Linda). He is also survived by many cousins, other extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home (1120 W Main St, Sac City, IA 50583). A memorial service was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
