Duane Fort Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Duane Fort of Sac City, Iowa, who passed away on November 19, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clark Fort and Gladys Fort (Smeeton); his wife Wilma Fort; his sister Marcene Amick (Richard); his sisters-in-law, Phyllis Conger (Channing) and Drucilla Rix (Robert); his nephews, David, Dennis and Mike Rix; and his niece Cheryl Conger.
He is survived by: his children, Patrice Gonzales of Las Vegas, NV, Clark Fort (Svitlana) of Storm Lake, IA, Greg Fort of Lexington, KY and Brian Fort (Sue) of Ankeny, IA; and his grandchildren, Heather Drentlaw, Melissa Thomas, Sasha Stevenson, Isabella Fort, Tracy Ashley, David Henrich, Kirby Lewton, Hilary Johnson and Garrett Fort. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; many extended family members and friends.
Donations made in LIEU OF FLOWERS will be used to honor Duane's memory by gifting to the Sac Community Rec Center as well as the Sac City Museum.
