Cynthia Sue Mooney Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cynthia Sue Mooney of Sac City, Iowa, who passed away on February 7, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Whitehouse and Jessie Whitehouse (Fish); her siblings, Jack Whitehouse, George Whitehouse, Meredith Lorenzen (Bob) and Evelyn Mooney (Al); her brothers-in-law, Wilmer Mooney (Bonnie) and Ronald Mooney; and her nieces and nephews, Robin Lorenzen, Mindi Lorenzen, Justin Cummings and Chris Whitehouse.
She is survived by: her friend Judy Blair; her husband Morris Mooney of Sac City, IA; her sons, Ron Mooney (Elaine) of Le Mars, IA, Greg Mooney (Julie) of Council Bluffs, IA and Todd Mooney of Lakeville, MN; her grandchildren, Paige Maslyn (Alex) of Minneapolis, MN, Keegan Mooney of Lakeville, MN, Amanda Conrad (Jesse) of Le Mars, IA, Travis Mooney of Le Mars, IA, Rachael Curry (Jake), Kara Archer of Council Bluffs, IA, Kelsey Young (Daniel) of Council Bluffs, IA and Kyle Mooney (Selah) of Colo, IA; and her great grandchildren, Tobin, Aurora, Geneva Conrad, Raylan, Leeland, Grace Archer, Oliver, Abigail Young, Mika Mooney and Otto Curry. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 4:30 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Prayer Vigil Farber & Otteman Funeral Home (1120 W Main St, Sac City, IA 50583). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (621 S 12th St, Sac City, IA 50583).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are to be directed to St. Croix Hospice, 40 N Main St., Denison, Iowa 51442.
