We bid farewell to Bert L. Martin of Sac City, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 10, 2025 at the age of 88. Bert touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Martin and Clara Martin (Clevor); his daughter Wanda; his granddaughter Brianne Martin; his siblings, Earnest, Raymond, Patricia Schossow, Lorraine Lund and Charlotte Martin; and his brother-in-law Mike Dick.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Martin of Sac City; his children, Dennis Martin (Lisa) of Frederick, Colorado, David Martin (Brenda) of Sherman, Texas, Doug Martin (Deb) of Branson, Missouri, Allayna Sanchez (Carlos) of Fonda, Iowa and Chelsea Rose (Stephen) of Des Moines, Iowa; his stepdaughters, Traci Cooper (Roger) of Kuna, Idaho and Cori Wilson of Sac City; his grandchildren, Travis Martin, Dylan Martin, Rochelle Anderson, Nathan Martin, Aaron Martin, Daniel, Chase, Lilly, Malachi Rose, Emma, Chris and Mia Sanchez; and his stepgrandchildren, Kelli, Sandi and Daniel Hines. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home (1120 W Main St, Sac City, IA 50583). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Bethel Baptist Church (313 IA-7, Newell, IA 50568).
