He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Gaffney of Ryan; his children, Michelle Gaffney of Cedar Rapids, Bob Gaffney (Katie) of Marion, Tom Gaffney of Mason City, Maria Gaffney of Cedar Rapids and Joe Gaffney of Manchester; his grandsons, Peter and Andrew Gaffney; his siblings, Jerome Gaffney (Evelyn) of Gainesville, Ann Appell of Galva, Colleen Gaffney (Frank Benn) of Boulder, Mark Gaffney (Mary Lou) of Winthrop, Leo Gaffney (Lori) of Ryan, Susan Callison (Michael) of Urbandale, John Gaffney (Lori) of Tecumseh and Trish Solis (Rupert) of Lemont, Illinois; and his sister-in-law Kathy Gaffney. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
