She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton C. Scheffler and Lula Mae Scheffler (Means); her son Denton Schoenbaum; her siblings, Fred Scheffler, Clifford Scheffler, Robert Lynn, Guentha Ann, Caroline Kay, Pamela Jean, Elsie Mae and Sandy Jarvis (Verlyn); her brother-in-law Ronald Helembrick; her close friend Paul Wieling; and also, David and Monty.
She is survived by: her children, Ann Vanderhoff (Shane) of Ruthven, IA, Roy Bales (Jeri) of Early, IA, Allie Collins (Aaron Wunschel) of Ida Grove, IA and Viette Nelsen Schull of Mankato, MN; her siblings, Don Scheffler (Florence) of Mountain Home, ID, Gene Scheffler (Diane) of Mason City, IA and Fran Shettler (Marv) of Storm Lake, IA; her sister-in-law Mary Scheffler of Sac City, IA; her children, Daniel Wieling of Ireton, IA, Jody Campbell (Pete) of Rock Springs, WY and Jeffrey Wieling (Shilo Scott) of Ida Grove, IA; her close friend Frank Collins of Ida Grove, IA; and her pet Skeeter. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Christensen-Van Houten Funeral Home of Ida Grove (321 2nd St, Ida Grove, IA 51445). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
