He is survived by: his children, Kathleen "Katie" Brown (Jim) of Mapleton, Kim Finnegan (Valerie) of St. Louis, Mary Kubasko (Chas) of Raleigh, Terry Finnegan (Debbie) of Pekin, Angela "Angie" Noecker of Cedar Rapids, Jeanette "Jenny" Spence of Columbia and Molly Bender of Ankeny, Iowa; his grandchildren, Casey Brown, Kyle Brown, Alex Brown, Darren Brown, Kimberly Finnegan, Zachary Finnegan, Michael Finnegan, Kelly Finnegan, Christin Snyder, Braxton Kubasko, Isaac Finnegan, Hannah Finnegan, Curtis Hames, Morgan Aldeman, Austin Hames, Hallie Noecker, Haldan Noecker, Payton Spence, Shea Spence, Jamie Bender, Rhett Bender and Reggie Bender; and his siblings, Dave Finnegan of St. James, Pat Finnegan of Muskegon, Mike Finnegan of Iowa City, Rosanne Girres (Max) of Grundy Center, Mary Smith, Raymond Finnegan (Patricia) of Omaha, Roger Finnegan (Darlene) of Eldridge, Dennis Finnegan of Omaha and Frances Anderson (Dennis) of Bennington, Nebraska. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; as well as other relatives and friends.
