He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald E. Schramm and Mary Alice Schramm (Hillyard); his daughter Sabrina Schramm; his stepson John Major; and his aunt Donna Lee.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann; his sons, Donald Schramm III of Nevada and Derrick Schramm of Chariton; his siblings, Rick Schramm and Deborah Graham; his grandchildren, Matthew Bahr, Leeloominai Marie Schramm, Tearza Joy Schramm and Cheyenne Vairo; and his stepsons, Harold Major (Amy) of Albia, Gary "Ed" Major of Ottumwa and David Major (Jessica) of North Liberty, IA. He is also survived by 9 step grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
Due to the Covid virus, a Celebration of Life will be held next spring/summer with interment and military honors at Union Chapel Cemetery in Monroe County.
An open memorial has been established to the family.
