He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Marvin Johnson and Gene Johnson (Van Sickle); his wife Shirley Johnson (Patterson) of Runnells; his children, Christopher Johnson (Elizabeth) of Runnells and Sara Ohlfest (Jason) of Marshalltown; his grandchildren, Julia, Cameron, Preston, Elliott and Everett; his siblings, Gloria VanZee (Carl) of Colfax, Shirley Verwers (Gordon) of Woodstock, Georgia and David Johnson (Lisa) of Bluffton; his siblings-in-law, Kathy Hopman of Newton, Silvia Patterson of Newton and Franz Patterson (Jennifer) of Newton; and his nieces and nephews, Brenda, Carla, Amy, Natalie, Molly, Mattie, Emily, Chad and Zach. He was also cherished by great-nieces and great-nephews and cousins.
