He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Kain and Donna Kain. He is survived by: his wife Janice; his children, Brad Kain (Dee) of Grimes, Tammy Gaudette (Jon) of Runnells and Kevin Kain (Lindsay) of Runnells; his grandchildren, Austin, Travis, Justin Kain, Devin, Alex Gaudette, Kaeden, Bailey and Mali Kain; and his siblings, Ronald Kain, Bob Kain (Donna), Janice Thomas, Patty Boot, Lucy Vaughn (Mervin) and Wanda Taylor (Hugh).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Runnells Christian Church, Runnells Fire Department or Unity Point Hospice.
