With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary F. Halsted of Rudd, Iowa, who passed away on January 16, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Duffy and Margaret Duffy (Miller) of Oelwein; her husband Douglas Halsted; her parents-in-law, Walter and June Halsted; and her sister-in-law Paula Duffy.

She is survived by: her children, Lisa Paulus (Jerry), Tony Halsted (Lisa), Gina Taylor (Mike), Nicole Nash (Matthew) and Sara Macias (Eli); her grandchildren, Jordan Paulus (Stacey), Evan Paulus (Emma Anderegg), Katelyn Lewis (Jennifer), Alex Halsted, Paige Healy (Erick), Douglas Taylor, Miles Nash, Mairenn Nash, Ireland Manning, Teague Manning (Maddy), Maddox Macias and Lyric Macias; her siblings, Julie O'Hara (Denny), John Duffy and Becky Hamann (Dennis); her sister-in-law Priscilla Thornton; and her pet Snickers.
