He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert E. Higdon and Virginia L. Higdon (Rainwater); and his half-brother Donnie Ball. He is survived by: his wife Teresa Higdon of Rowley, IA; his children, Shane Higdon (Lisa) of New Hartford, IA and Lacey Moss (Eli) of Copley, OH; his grandchildren, Lexi, Chloe, Shelby, Aubrey Higdon and Owen Moss; and his siblings, Nelda Sue Piper of Kansas City, KS, Dean Higdon of Truesdale, MO and Gene Higdon (Louise) of Verona, MO. He is also survived by siblings and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Reiff Family Center - Independence (216 3rd Ave SE, Independence, IA 50644). The military honors will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc - Independence (216 3rd Ave SE, Independence, IA 50644).
