She was predeceased by: her parents, James Pelong and Carmen Pelong (Rogers); her son Marty; her husband LeRoy; and her siblings, Linda Claver and Dale Pelong.
She is survived by: her children, James Almond of Coralville, IA and Carmen Almond of Oskaloosa, IA; her grandchildren, Aaron Estes, Kyle Almond, Harlan Almond and Dillan Almond; her great grandchildren, Rylynn Estes, Dominic Almond and Lilah Almond; her siblings, Jim Pelong, Tim Pelong and Julie Peters; and her close friends, Dianne and Larry Garber. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in her name to Carmen Pearson.
