It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brian Ruel Powell (Roland, Iowa), born in Ames, Iowa, who passed away on April 5, 2020, at the age of 42, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Lyle, Irma Powell and Ralph Avey; and his cousin Cassidy Powell. He is survived by: his parents, William Lester Powell (Cindy) of Nevada and Patricia "Pat" Veeder (David) of Roland; his daughter Rebecca Powell of Roland; his sister Monica Powell of Newton; his grandmother Carol Avey of Nevada; and his stepsisters, Lisa Jenkins of St. Joseph, MO, Lori Carskaden (Anthony) of Toledo and Jessica Jones (Darius) of Ames. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
