It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William L. Ames of Rockwell, Iowa, who passed away on January 14, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Ames and Ethel Ames Ransom (Long); his stepparents, Ed Ransom and Lucille Ames; his son Danny Paul Ames; and his siblings, Charlotte, Gladyce, Robert, Dale, Francis and Marjorie.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Anderson; his daughters, Sue Adams (Mike), Patty Lane, Pam Haukoos (Peter) and Kristi Hebel (Mike); his brothers, Roger Ames (Leona) and Jerry Ames (Barbara); his half-sister Barbara Havill; his grandchildren, Nate Adams (Lily Bryant), Paul Adams (Emily), Colin Lane, Ashley Lane, Jayden Lane, Carson Lane, Kirsten Schultz (Brady), Anders Haukoos, Austin Hebel and Logan Hebel; his great grandchildren, Gregor, Sawyer, Porter Adams, Vaeda Adams and Breckyn Schultz; and his sisters-in-law, Dora Jean Mueller and Beverly Ames.
Masks will be required by all and those attending are asked to social distance.
