He was predeceased by: his parents, Olaf Petersen and Bertha Petersen (Hansen); his siblings, Hannah Thompson, Marian Campbell, Marvin Petersen and Willard "Bill" Petersen; and his son-in-law Lonnie Bosch.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Petersen (Conway); his children, Antoinette Petersen (Todd Becker), Kim Bosch, Scott Petersen (Stephanie) and Kevin Petersen (Jacque); his grandchildren, Ezra Petersen, Bob Bosch, Krystle Bosch-Allison (Adam), Tyler Petersen, Sadie Petersen, Ashley Petersen and Brad Petersen; his great grandchildren, Nathaniel, Alexander, Kendrick Bosch, Ace, Eli, Leo and Fyn Allison; and his sister Marcella Erickson.
