She was predeceased by: her parents, Telford Knutson and Gladys Knutson (Trosthiem) of Garner, IA.; her daughter Debbie Bates; her granddaughter Brooke Bates; and her daughter-in-law Kris Bates.
She is survived by: her husband Lester Bates; and her children, Brett Bates, Terry Bates, Laurie Duryee, Becky Krull and Jarett Krull. She is also survived by five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two siblings; furry friend, Buddy; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and great friends.
