He was predeceased by: his wife Mary; his parents, Clarence Thompson and Edna Thompson (Wolff); and his brothers, Robert and Blake Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Carol Thompson of Rockwell City, Shirley Neukom (Mark) of Crystal, MN, David Thompson (Marla) of Denham Springs, LA and Kathy Jurries (Bill) of Rockwell City; his grandchildren, Weston, Thomas, Amy, Eva, Marshall, Tony, Blair, Brooke and Katlin; and his siblings, Donald Thompson of Knoxville and Aleene Maquire of Rockwell City. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to Calhoun County Historical Society, United Methodist Church or, Gideons International.
