He was predeceased by: his wife Dolores Hartwig; his daughter Kay Marie Hartwig; his parents, Fred Hartwig and Ella Hartwig (Vosberg); and his sister Edna Hinners.
He is survived by: his sons, Rex Hartwig (Shelly) of Rockwell City and Craig Hartwig of Rockwell City; his grandchildren, Tami Bingham (Jason) of Ackworth, Tracy Furrow of Granger and Tonya Reynolds (Clayton) of Yetter; and his great grandchildren, Jax, Blake, Gia Bingham, Cole, Ava Reynolds, Finnley and Fallon Furrow.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (3010 270th St, Rockwell City, IA 50579). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
