He is survived by: his daughters, Kerri McAlexander (Earl) of Rockwell City and Kristen Wheeler (Whit) of Arlington, VA; his grandchildren, Brittany Hemesath (Daniel) of State Center, Jacob Wheeler of Arlington, VA and Sarah Wheeler of Washington, DC; his siblings, Gerald "Kelly" Kerns of Phoenix, AZ and Dorothy Burley of Glendale, AZ; and his pet Dusty. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
