He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth "Betty"; his parents, Elmer Sandvig and Sadie Sandvig (Lilly); and his siblings, Donald, William, Arnold, James Sandvig, Maurine Spiker and Donna Jean Young.
He is survived by: his daughter Sara Staver (David); his sister Cindy Foxhoven (David) of Doniphan, NE; his grandsons, Mike Staver (Jen) of Centennial, CO and Phil Staver of Des Moines; his stepgrandchildren, Matt Foxhoven (Crystal) of Antioch, CA and Ann Eskeldson (Bart) of Eskridge, KS; his great grandchildren, Carson Staver and Kyle Staver; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Auston Foxhoven and Braxton Foxhoven; and his sisters, Mary Jane Firkins of Newton and Pat Carmichael (Garlin) of Storm Lake. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Jack was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Bishop Cosgrove Assembly #267, Kiwanis, VFW, Rockwell City Rotary Club, and the University of Iowa Foundation.
