With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Harriet Gidel of Rockwell City, Iowa, who passed away on September 3, 2021 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her children, Tommy and Tricia; her parents, Fred Schlachter and Tempe Fitts Schlachter; her sister Marion Louise Schlachter; and her husband Dale Gidel.

She is survived by: her son Steve Gidel (Barb); her brother Dave Gidel (Mary); her daughters, Jayne Hamilton (Steve) of New Port Richey, FL and Jacqueline Dawson of Scottsdale, AZ; and her sister-in-law Mary Gidel of Clearwater, FL. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
