Elizabeth Sandvig Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Sandvig (Rockwell City, Iowa), born in Rolfe, Iowa, who passed away on December 30, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Sinek and Margaret Sinek (Shimon); her siblings, Mary Margaret Vainreb, Don Sinek and Paul Sinek; her brother-in-law Joe Vainreb; and her husband Jack Sandvig.

She is survived by: her daughter Sara Staver (David); her sister Cindy Foxhoven (David) of Doniphan, NE; her grandsons, Mike Staver (Jen) of Centennial, CO and Phil Staver of Des Moines; her stepgrandchildren, Matt Foxhoven (Crystal) of Antioch, CA and Ann Eskeldson (Bart) of Eskridge, KS; her great grandchildren, Carson Staver and Kyle Staver; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Auston Foxhoven and Braxton Foxhoven; and her sister-in-law Esther Sinek of Rolfe. She is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Betty was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Rockwell City, Catholic Daughters of America, the University of Iowa Foundation; The Needleworkers, Court Delores #458, and the Federated Book Club.
