He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Stadtlander and Grace Stadtlander (Dirks); and his siblings, Louie, Herman, Leonard, Delbert Stadtlander and Bernice Sido.
He is survived by: his wife Sally Stadtlander (Weigand); and his children, Dale Tegtmeier, Sylvia Hedrick (Paul), Rory Tegtmeier (Heidi), Kip Stadtlander (Gloria), Kevin Tegtmeier (Peg), Kim Kloster (Gary) and Carla Preston (Dave). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Rockford Public Library, 202 W Main Ave, Rockford.
