With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald R. Washington of Rockford, Iowa, who passed away on March 17, 2023 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert and Rita (Moorehead) of Washington; his parents-in-law, Virgil and Lois Eckenrod; his sister-in-law Sue Eckenrod; his nephew Brent Benson; and his great grandchild Giana Ketelsen.
He is survived by: his former wife Marcia Schindele; his son Doug of Washington; his wife Lea Ann Eckenrod of Rockford; his children, Dawn Harrel (Randy) of Leedey, OK, Jenn Heying (Randy), Kevin Eichmeier (Lisa), Laura Grady (Jerry) and Chad Eichmeier (Lorenza) of Valdosta, GA; his siblings, Pat Snavely (Mark), Margaret Schlader (Mike), Ed (Pam) of Washington, David (Jane) of Washington, Mary Jo Howard, Mark (Kristi) of Washington and Lea; and also, Bruce Eckenrod (Rachel), Al Eckenrod (Dawn), Carl Eckenrod (Toni) and Ann Ott (Kelly).
