She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Kenneth Lien and Violet "Davidson" Lien; her husband Shawn; her siblings, Pam Meyer (David), Kevin Lien (JoAnna), Todd and Eric Lien (Judy); her sisters-in-law, Jane Ferch, Anne McWilliams, Mary Lou Shaw, Celia Feltus, Ruth Hallett, Tami Wright, Amy Rosser and Navigator; her daughter Alyssa Staudt; and also Janette Lien.

“I'm shocked and saddened to learn of Dee's passing. I have fond memories of our junior and high school days. As the two tallest girls, we shared a bond. Our paths crossed again at the Nora Springs Care Center where she was an important part of the care team for both of my parents. Our family is thankful for all she did for our parents and always with a smile. She touched a lot of lives there. My deepest condolences to her family.”
