He was predeceased by: his parents, Allan Dow and Clara Dow (Nauman); his brother Lawrence Dow; his parents-in-law, Richard and Mary Myrtle O'Connor; his siblings-in-law, Derald Hoel, Joyce Dow and Maxine O'Connor; his nieces, Linda Schlader, Melinda Stiles, Cathy and Melissa O'Connor; and his nephew John Dow.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Dow of Rockford; his sons, Billy Dow (Denise) of Rockford, Daniel Dow of Rockford, James Dow (Debbie) of Marble Rock and Michael Dow (Amanda) of Rockford; his sister Leona Hoel of Osage; and his grandchildren, Andrew, Richard, Jacob, Marissa, Leah, Sawyer, Carver, Marcus, Sabrina, Tiffany, Anthony, Sophia, Joshua, Matthew and Emma. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
