It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alberta Marie Montag (Rockford, Iowa), who passed away on April 6, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Paulus and Marie Paulus; her husband Jerald J. Montag; her son David; her brothers, Joseph, Lawrence and Paul; and her siblings-in-law, Rita Paulus and Eldon Bass.
She is survived by: her children, Ann Shurtz (John) of Mason City and Jerald (Myrna) of Albert Lea, MN; her daughter-in-law Julie Montag of Rockford; her grandchildren, Jacqueline Attig (Al), Jonathon Montag (Anna), Clayton Shurtz (Cassie), Gregory, Ana and Jeffrey Shurtz; her stepgranddaughter Callie Hillman (Dana); her great grandchildren, Alana, Ailey Attig, Colton, Claire Shurtz, Macy and Parker Montag; her stepgreat-granddaughters, Hannah and Harper Hillman; her siblings, Nicholas Paulus (Mary Jo), Mary Paulus and Barbara Bass; and her sister-in-law Sharon Paulus.
