He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Riphagen and Johanna Riphagen (Ter Haar); his sisters, Johanna Voortman, Lena Boscaljon and Joyce Mulder; his daughter-in-law Vickie Riphagen; and his grandchildren, Michael Riphagen and Elizabeth Riphagen.
He is survived by: his wife Lavonne Joyce DeJager; his children, Jim Riphagen (Laurie Anderson) of Orange City, IA, Cheryl Riphagen (Paul Gilford) of Houston, TX, Brad Riphagen (Bonnie) of Jefferson, IA, Mary Brown (John) of Galveston, TX and Joel Riphagen (Yvonne Choong) of Sacramento, CA; his grandchildren, Joshua Riphagen (Gena), Seth Riphagen, Coleman Burns (Carrie), William Britt Burns, Kaleb Burns, Tim Riphagen (Ashley), Kayce Riphagen, Calvin Brown, Arie Riphagen and Henry Riphagen; and his brother Gary Riphagen (Bertha) of Rock Valley, IA. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
